Towards the end of 2015, Dave East signed with Def Jam. Already, he was signed to Nas’ Mass Appeal label, where he has released several projects. However, Nas, himself, is a longtime Def Jam artist, having been on the label since 2006.
Dave East already had huge momentum, due to his mixtape presence, and a lot is riding on him. It’s been a while since Harlem had a star they could rally around. But, Dave East remains one hit away from truly taking the game over.
This morning, Dave East stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” where he would speak to DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. The discussion would begin with Christina Milian, where Dave was spending a lot of time, before shifting to Drake. He would also speak on Def Jam and his Paranoia EP.
