It’s #NewRules when it comes to television, because all of the rules have flown out the window. Some shows release episodes for the entire season at the same time and cancelled shows come back at a moment’s notice. Actors also play on various shows, at the same time.
Enter Jay Ellis, he was tasked with replacing Pooch Hall and his character of Derwin Davis on “The Game.” In the old days of television, actors replacing popular characters were considered “cursed.” A primary example is Ted McGinley, aka Jefferson from “Married… with Children.”
Jay Ellis debunked this, as Blue and Kira (Lauren London) were popular and Jay has found new popularity on “Insecure.” Earlier this week, he stopped by Hot 97, to speak with Ebro, Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez about this. He talked about the #LawrenceHive and other “Insecure” details.
