Nobody is ever brave enough to question Jay-Z’s business savvy. After all, he’s worth close to $500 million, all on his own. Because he’s married to Beyonce, their earnings are counted together, and with their combined net worth, the man’s a billionaire.
Jay-Z experienced an unprecedented run in the business world, scoring nothing but wins from 1996 until 2015. The TIDAL investment is considered Jay-Z’s only loss. But, the rising popularity in the streaming service is even negating that.
Due to his TIDAL ownership, Jay-Z is refusing to stream 4:44 on popular streamer, Spotify. That decision is causing Jay-Z to miss out on money, not that he’s in desperate need of money. But, the decision to not work with Spotify is costing Jay-Z an extra $1 million a week.
