Since 2013, Tank has seen more career moves from acting, as opposed to his music. Make no mistake, Tank is well-known for his music, breaking through with “Maybe I Deserve” in 2001. However, Tank is best-known for “Please Don’t Go,” his 2007 single.

At the end of 2016, Tank released the sequel to “Please Don’t Go’s” album, Sex, Love, & Pain. Following the album release, Tank went back to acting. He played the role of Jheryl Busby in The New Edition Story on BET.

Tank spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com at Essence Fest, with @MJThatMediaGurl, after last speaking with us in 2014. During the interview, Tank spoke on his history in the music industry and the “Maybe I Deserve” success. He also spoke on how he has evolved, dealing with adversity.
