After the success of The New Edition Story, BET is being flooded by fans to do other music biopics. The casting of New Edition’s biopic was on point and each actor played their role well. In the case of the actor for Ronnie DeVoe, the face was familiar.
Keith Powers stepped into the role of Ronnie DeVoe, on the heels of playing Dr. Dre’s brother on Straight Outta Compton. This means he has played in two major biopics. With all of that, the question begs who he’d want to play next?
At the 2017 BET Awards, Keith Powers spoke to @MJThatMediaGurl in an HHV Exclusive interview. When they talked, she ended up asking him what his dream biopic role would be. However, she asked him this, after she spoke on the controversial interview he did that he spoke out about, after clarifying his statement, Keith Powers said he’d like to play Huey P. Newton.
