Through her time on “Empire,” Anika (Grace Gealey) has always managed to slide by. Season one saw her get a pass for being Lucious (Terrence Howard) fiancee. Even when she turned on him, she began sleeping with Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray).
After falling out with Hakeem, Anika was still friends with Andre and Rhonda (Trai Byers, Kaitlin Doubleday). But, Anika resented Rhonda for her pregnancy and shoved her down the stairs. She killed Rhonda’s baby and then finished her off.
All season long, fans have kept from feeling sorry for Anika, due to her killing Rhonda. So, when Leah (Leslie Uggams) set Anika up, there was no sympathy, plus she was conspiring with Diana (Phylicia Rashad) against the Lyons. Because of that, Twitter has no mercy for her.
