DJ Khaled reportedly wants to replace L.A. Reid as the chairman over at Epic Records

Since 2015, DJ Khaled has completely reinvented himself. Making himself a force on the Miami music scene, DJ Khaled successfully navigated the industry to become a force. Among his moves included joining Roc Nation, where Jay Z became his manager.

The biggest move came with We The Best Music Group, as he moved the label to Epic Records. Previously, Def Jam and Cash Money Records were homes to his label. Now, Khaled is at Epic, where he and L.A. Reid were working closely together.

Earlier this month, L.A. Reid was removed from his position as chairman at Epic. With that, there is an opening for someone else to take over, there. Rumor has it, DJ Khaled wants to be the man to take that job, and rumor has it that wasn’t all he had to say about his ambitions.
