Had Kawhi Leonard not gone down in Game 1, the Spurs would at least be tied 1-1 with the Warriors. Golden State probably was going to win Game 2, anyway. The way the game was blown out, maybe Kawhi’s effort could have made it closer.
Kawhi Leonard, regardless, didn’t play after his Game 1 injury, and didn’t play during Game 2. Now, the San Antonio Spurs have to just deal with being down 0-2 in the Conference Finals. As Gregg Popovich said, the Spurs have to stop feeling sorry for themselves and win.
The media caught up with Kawhi Leonard and he talked about his injury. He said how he feels will depend on if he plays, so if he feels good it’s a go. But, regardless, Kawhi Leonard is focused on getting the Spurs back in the series.
