When a man’s nickname is “Money,” it makes sense to at least pay attention to what he has to say. As great of a boxer as Floyd Mayweather is, trust he’s getting paid handsomely to do it. Just so happens that he has more money than most businessmen.
Floyd Mayweather has worked hard to build his crew. They call themselves Team Money Team, or just “The Money Team.” Now, he is looking to add “Ownership Group” to the nicknames for his crew and maybe an NBA icon as a member.
Because of his legendary career, Magic Johnson is forever tied to the Lakers. He’s alternated playing for, coaching, being a minority owner of, and commentating for this franchise since he joined, in 1980. However, in 2010, Magic Johnson contemplated purchasing the Detroit Pistons, and now Floyd Mayweather is meeting with him, hinting NBA ownership.
