Back in the day, Cuba Gooding, Sr. rose to fame as a singer. But, the past twenty-six years have him best known as Cuba Gooding, Jr.’s father. A little-known fact is that he’s also Omar Gooding’s (Baby Boy, “Smart Guy,” and “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper”) father.
Cuba Gooding, Sr. has continued performing in select clubs, since his heyday. Plus, he remained a supportive figure in the lives of both of his sons. The Gooding family is often overlooked as a powerful celebrity family.
Certainly, hearts are heavy within the family, as Cuba, Sr. was found dead in his car. According to the local Los Angeles news report, an investigation has been launched. Cuba Gooding, Sr. was 72 years of age.
