Similar to FX’s “Atlanta,” “STAR” received praise for representing the culture of the city of Atlanta. As the girls are trying to make it in music, the Atlanta scene is prominently featured. Through the season, Big Boi has made sporadic appearances, as has Joseline Hernandez.
Tonight was the season finale and Monica made a cameo. The season finale ended with the girls finally doing AtlantaNextFest. Fans were in for a good surprise when Monica emerged as the host and it was something the fans enjoyed.
For years, Monica held Atlanta down and put out a ton of music, as a solo artist, when the city was producing girl groups. Now, she is a legend in the game and Twitter was here for her. One thing is for sure, Lee Daniels has managed to keep superstars coming on and off his shows.
