Once upon a time, Lil’ Kim was the biggest rapper in the game. Rising to fame under the tutelage of The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim made herself into a household name. Following his death, she continued to make standout records and features.
Lil’ Kim consistently put new music out until 2005, when she dropped her album, The Naked Truth, before going to prison. In 2009, Lil’ Kim had momentum for a new album that never came. But, she did enjoy success with her Black Friday mixtape in 2011.
Since then, Lil’ Kim has returned with a 2013 mixtape, which was the sequel to Hard Core, her debut album. Following this, Lil’ Kim welcomed her first child into the world, returning to performing in 2014. Now, she has taken to Instagram to reveal she is back to work on her new album, her first official album in 2017.
