So far, 2017’s comeback of the year is New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe after The New Edition Story on BET. A note to all artists of the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, a biopic is the way to go. The world forgot how dope Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe actually are.
These three were portrayed by Elijah Kelley, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, and Keith Powers. Together, they brought back to life the memorable moments the group had. Hopefully, this will also bring about another look at “Run,” BBD’s single from last summer.
But, Bell Biv DeVoe, along with their New Edition brothers, have enjoyed a very strong year. Only one month in and they are the leading topics, which has given BBD a bigger platform. Earlier this week, they dropped the “I’m Betta” visuals and this is enough to land them Video of the Week.
