Anyone who keeps up with the business side of the music industry will see Michael Bivins’ name come up a lot. Not only is he a member of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe, he is also a businessman. Courtesy of BET’s The New Edition Story, the world learned why.
After not receiving the money he felt he deserved, Mike (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) decided to jump into the business side. There, he learned what Gary (Michael Rappaport) did. Then, he landed his own MCA deal for New Edition with Jerryl (Tank).
Tonight is the final installment of The New Edition Story and it is showing how it all came together. In the end, Mike Bivins is the one the fans are resonating with the most, because he followed the money and came out of it a rich man. Both Bivins’ acumen and Yazz’s performance have won Twitter over.
