Given how often, and random, J. Cole drops albums, it’s hard to imagine where he came from. Not even coming out of Fayetteville, major props for that, but his actual music career. Despite Jay Z signing him as Roc Nation’s first artist, J. Cole took forever to drop.
Following a two-year wait, J. Cole finally dropped Cole World and made fans wait just as long for Born Sinner. Since then, J. Cole has dropped two albums, relatively surprising. As 2016 came to an end, most felt as if there would be no new J. Cole album.
Just like he did with Forest Hills Drive, J. Cole dropped 4 Your Eyez Only with no warning. Like his previous album, two years ago, J. Cole has no features on this new album. Last night, the album was certified gold and J. Cole fans know it will soon be platinum.
