It’s no secret that race relations are low and very low. But, not every person is racist, not by a long shot. True, however, is that the Black community needs a voice and DL Hughley has stepped up in an attempt to be that.

First rising to fame as a comedian, DL Hughley made a major impact on the industry. From 1998 until 2002, he had his own sitcom, loosely based off his own life and inspired by “The Jeffersons.” But, no one was focused on this, tonight.

Currently, the entertainment industry is reeling from the deaths of mother-daughter duo, Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. Just one day after Carrie Fisher died, Debbie Reynolds died, likely of a broken heart after losing her daughter. Apparently, in a failed attempt at making a joke, Hughley tweeted about black moms not dying because their kids do and no one liked it.
