Make no mistake, Hip Hop Vibe is forever and always about the music, but recognize that the music has created a culture. Now, Styme is among the people fighting to be the face of the culture. In 2016, few artists put up a bigger fight than Styme.
A young veteran, Styme has been putting in work over the past few years, amassing a huge following along the way. With several viral music videos and many big mixtapes, Styme is now on the radar. Facing do-or-die circumstances, Styme chose to do it and do it well.
Styme has come a long way and has a long way to go and Hip Hop Vibe has been there to document most of his journey. It has been impressive to see how he’s grown, with no machine behind him. Because of this, Hip Hop Vibe has re-titled the Rookie of the Year to the more properly-titled On The Rise Artist of the Year and Styme’s work hands him this title.
