YRS Jerzy’s Wednesday Throwback: Blackstreet – “Don’t Leave Me”

A few days ago, Blackstreet was back in the spotlight when Teddy Riley was honored at the Soul Train Music Awards. He and Brandy were celebrated for their music. When it comes to Teddy Riley he has a countless stack of hits.

Once he wrapped up his run with Guy, Teddy Riley came back and created Blackstreet. During the mid-to-late 1990s, Blackstreet took over the game. The group put out a lot of hits during a short span of time, with “Don’t Leave Me” being chief among them.

In 1996, Blackstreet released Another Level, which housed “Don’t Leave Me.” So much time has gone by and the Wednesday Throwback segment had gone very 2000s and very pop culture. This week is the heart of the 1990s with “Don’t Leave Me” from Blackstreet.
