Over the course of his career, J. Cole has made history. He was the first artist signed to Roc Nation, joining shortly after Jay Z left Def Jam to create the company. However, upon joining, J. Cole took forever to release his debut album and was considered one of “those” rappers.
Since then, J. Cole has risen to become one of hip hop’s biggest and most-consistent rappers. He followed the 2011 Cole World album release with albums in 2013 and 2014. It looks like 2017 will be when his next album drops, however.
J. Cole has something more important happening before that. He is now making his own personal history. A series of text messages between people close to J. Cole have revealed his fiancee, who he just proposed to, is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
