Seven years ago, Kandi Burruss joined “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and she’s always been a powerful force. She can be a good friend or a formidable enemy. But, everyone who knows her knows she will always speak her mind.
Kandi is married to Todd Tucker and the two are working on several new business ventures. These business ventures were the source of much controversy, early in their relationship. Prior to Todd, Kandi was involved with Block of Block Entertainment.
It looks like Block will factor into this season, as Kris Kelli, Block’s new girlfriend, appeared on tonight’s episode. Walking into a meeting Kandi and her team were having, she talked to her, and then made a comment about Kris, a Jamaican immigrant, having her green card. This comment caused much backlash from Jamaicans and fans of the show, with Kandi apologizing and saying she was pissed at Kris and upset due to Trump winning the presidency.
