In 2003, R. Kelly was going through some of the lowest points in his life, for the obvious reasons. Still, R. Kelly managed to deliver one of his better albums in Chocolate Factory. During this period of time, R. Kelly posted one of the biggest hits of his career.
The lead single off the album was “Ignition” and the record became a moderate hit. Moderate wasn’t enough for R. Kelly, so he came back with the remix. Easily, R. Kelly scored the first hit during the early stages of 2003.
During this period of time, R. Kelly was working with Nick Cannon. His music video for “Ignition” is now regarded as a classic, as Nick Cannon made a cameo. Now, almost fourteen years later, R. Kelly’s “Ignition” remix video is the Wednesday Throwback.
