When thinking of Benzino and Dave Mays, those who know who they are think of The Source. The two were the braintrust behind The Source, which was the first official hip hop publication. Their work laid the groundwork for the legion of hip hop blogs that exist now.
Benzino, in addition to being Dave Mays’ partner, is an artist. The past four years have seen Benzino focus a lot of his celebrity on doing reality television. During the first three seasons of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” Benzino was a central personality.
