In 2001, Floetry rose to fame after writing “Butterflies” for the iconic pop star, Michael Jackson, and providing background vocals. Their stock was high and the sisters quickly dropped their album. The name of the album was Floetic and “Say Yes” was the signature single.

The 2002-2003 period saw a strong era when neo soul began to dominate the mainstream. “Say Yes” was considered one of the biggest singles of that period. For the video, Floetry went all out and cast a future star.

Currently, Omari Hardwick is killing it on “Power,” figuratively and literally. Before Omari Hardwick was Ghost, he was a man riding the subway that caught Marsha Ambrosius eye and they exchanged flirty stares. In light of both her growth and Omari’s we reflected where they were before with “Say Yes” being this week’s Wednesday Throwback.
