Since 2014, Birdman has dealt with his fair share of backlash. The leader of Cash Money Records is being accused by Lil Wayne, the label flagship, of refusing to let him release his album. Initially, Lil Wayne intended to release Tha Carter V in 2014.
Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit against Birdman for $10 million and even joined Jay Z at TIDAL to drop another album in 2015. Still, Birdman maintained the two were on good terms. The duo, along with Drake and Mack Maine would take a photo on New Year’s, this year.
Birdman has now responded to Lil Wayne’s interview on “Undefeated” with Fox Sports. There, he blamed Birdman for not releasing the album, but he says it is the other way around, as Wayne won’t turn in the project and refuses to do so until he’s paid. Also, he shared his photo with French Montana and Terrence Howard on the “Empire” set on his Instagram.
