Tonight saw a very pivotal moment in sports take place in Allen Iverson being inducted to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Prolific and controversial, Allen Iverson changed the game. Written off by many as a thug, Allen Iverson gave it his all, regardless.

 

The Virginia native would be drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers and brought new life into the franchise. In 2001, Allen Iverson had his breakout MVP season, leading the Sixers to the NBA Finals. His squad would come up short to Shaq’s Lakers, but it was a memorable series.

Allen Iverson had a memorable speech, tonight, as he spoke on the soundtrack to his career. He paid homage to the likes of B.I.G., Dipset, and many others, earning him props on Twitter. Most importantly, he paid homage to Larry Brown, as he learned how to take constructive criticism and did it while dressed David Stern-approved.
