Since 2011, there’s been a renewed interest, from the mainstream, on the Los Angeles hip hop scene. Much of this stemmed from Game investing his time in the new school. He helped Kendrick Lamar join forces with Dr. Dre and also helped Tyler, The Creator and Tyga.
The Los Angeles area has also seen Kid Ink, Casey Veggies, YG, and Problem emerge. In that conversation should also be Vince Staples, as he is making his presence felt. This week, he released Prima Donna, his new EP.
Vince Staples stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” talking to DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. The interview saw him discuss his new project and the street life from which he came from before transitioning to rap. He would discuss his successes, giving back to the youth, and much more.
