For whatever reason, the females in hip hop do not receive much hype outside of Nicki Minaj. Of course, it is impossible to take away from what Nicki has done, but other ladies are making moves. This was proven, just this morning, with Tink.
Representing Chicago, Tink promised to deliver her WD4 mixtape at midnight. When midnight came, Tink’s mixtape did not and Twitter went off. With over 2,000 tweets in a couple of hours, Tink showed she is also a force in the game.
But, Tink isn’t pulling a Frank Ocean on her fans, mainly due to her never being signed to Def Jam. Instead, Tink held her project back for only a few hours to get it worked. Now, the album is available and features appearances from Lil Durk, production from Timbaland, and much more work.
