Because of Michael Jordan’s impact on the NBA and pop culture, overall, he casts a wide shadow over the whole sport of basketball. A great number of NBA stars were billed as the heir to MJ’s throne. The favorite of all of these figures is LeBron James.
During the first eight years of his career, LeBron James’ shortcomings were often highlighted. Regardless of how great his individual records were and his 60 win seasons, he couldn’t win a title. His move to Miami changed this and leading the Cavs over the Warriors was undeniable.
LeBron James, earlier this summer, said he was chasing the ghost of Michael Jordan, in being the greatest ever. Many consider him out of the running with his 3-4 record, all-time in the NBA Finals, as opposed to Jordan’s 6-0. In response to that, James said he, sometimes, feels Jordan gets too much credit for those championships.
