A few years ago, Tyga transitioned his internet popularity into international fame. Rising to fame as a member of Young Money, Tyga built his own buzz and rose Cash Money’s ranks. At one point, Tygas’s buzz was so strong, many believed he signed Nas to his own label.
Tyga since went through many changes and ended his label arrangement with Cash Money Records. No longer signed to their label, Young Money, Tyga is now fully pushing his Last Kings label. He has an independent distribution deal.
Recently, Tyga made headlines for his apparent refusal to pay back rent for a mansion he was living in at Malibu. After weeks of bad press and being the butt of jokes on Twitter, Tyga has made a big change. Tyga has paid enough of the money to the landlord for him to tell Us Weekly that he no longer owes him.
