During the retirement era of Jay Z’s career, T.I. positioned himself as an heir to the throne. Contending with the likes of Lil Wayne, among others, Tip made himself a household name. Now, with nothing more to prove, T.I. has changed his name back to Tip.
Like Jay Z, who has mentored T.I. in the past, he jumped into many business ventures following his music success. Among those ventures was his Scales 925 restaurant. Based in his hometown of Atlanta, the restaurant was an immediate hit.
Yesterday, unfortunately, T.I.’s restaurant was making headlines due to bad business. Failing to pay their rent, which had totaled up to $1 million, Scales 925 got evicted and they are forced to go out of business. Rightfully angry, T.I. is pointing all blame on his business partner, and he aired him out on social media.
Read T.I.’s deleted Instagram statement below:
“Everybody this is Charles. He is NOT associated with me or my company in any capacity. He IS NOT authorized to book anything on me or my company’s behalf. We have NO dealings nor partnerships outside of my restaurant Scales925 (which was a HUGE mistake in hindsight)
