There is one face and name synonymous with BET throughout the network’s existence. Throughout BET’s history, “Bobby Jones Gospel” has been the channel’s fixture. This weekend, Bobby Jones is officially retiring, however.
BET has made several changes over the past few years with their programming. While it is sad to see “Bobby Jones Gospel” leave, it is fitting that one of the first BET shows ends during this period. It doesn’t mean that the show will not be missed, however.
It is a very emotional time, as “Bobby Jones Gospel” is airing its final episode. Some of the best memories are being shared on Twitter by both BET and the fans. They are using the #FarewellDrJones hashtag for this trend to pay tribute.
