For a while, now, tension has been brewing between Joe Budden and Meek Mill. A year ago, after the BET Awards, Joe Budden ended up making comments about Meek Mill, leading to tension. This would be overshadowed by his situation with Drake.

Joe Budden is a major fixture in the hip hop game, having been around since 2003. Best-known for his hit single, “Pump It Up,” Joe Budden went against the likes 50 Cent and eventually the entire industry. He lived to tell the story and came out of it a legend.

The current generation seems to not be phased by Joe Budden’s legacy, however. All week, Meek Mill has not given Joe Budden a real response, only referring to him as a “podcaster,” not even acknowledging him as an emcee. More recently, after his diss record, Meek Mill took to Instagram to insult Joe, saying he’s been dead since 2003.
