Fourteen years ago, Mario took over the summer with a Biz Markie sample. His single, “Just A Friend,” became a classic to this current generation of move makers. While Mario already cemented his name, he officially became a legend with “Let Me Love You” in 2004.
Mario still gets major spins off his 2002 and 2004 hit singles, respectively. However, Mario has decided to move away from the major labels. Like a continuously growing number of stars, Mario has become an independent artist.
Recently, Mario sat down with Nessa at Hot 97, where he spoke on this transition to being indie. Outside of his business decision, Mario also discussed finding love. With a new album on the way, Mario discussed Paradise Cove, which is his latest release.
