Hard work goes into everything that is successful, people work very hard to do what they do. In the adult world, Nikki Delano has worked hard to look good naked and do all that she does with ease. These talents come following much effort.
Nikki Delano is one of the most-recognized names in the adult industry and she is ahead of the game. On top of being a star, Nikki Delano is also a mogul. Owning various businesses, in and out of the industry, she hosts “The Nikki Delano Show” on Vivid Radio.
Recently, Nikki Delano was gracious enough to take time from her schedule to speak to Hip Hop Vibe. Very open and honest, Nikki Delano explained her entry into the business and how she’s owned her market. So, can you tell us your start in the adult in the adult entertainment industry? I was modeling as a hobby, working at John Jay, doing fashion modeling, athletic modeling, and then the clothes became less and less. At the same time, I was dating someone and they were cheating on me. Then, I got in contact with Brazzers and they wanted me to do porn, so I turned them down because my family was strict. But, after getting cheated on, I did my first porno and I’ve been doing it ever since.
How have you managed to fight piracy and make money in this era? I’m contracted with Cams for a camming deal. I have my own Vivid Radio show on Sirius XM. I get booked a lot and I’m up for Best Adult Feature of the Year. I won awards in 2015. I also have five non-related adult businesses. So, I stay connected in the business arena. I am a hard worker, I work every day, doing interviews, web camming, doing a lot. It’s not just a shoot/feature one day, I have a good social media fan base. I have a strong following with various markets and my publicists helps me out. I have a great team that helps me do this thing, as well.
Who have been your favorite scene partners, over the years? Lisa Daniels, a good friend of mine and a legend in the girl/girl arena. Missy Martinez, and one performer who isn’t active right now, Romeo Mancini.
Do you find it weird having to do “that” with people you’re friends with? Not really. When Lisa and I shot our first scene, we weren’t good friends, yet. But, it makes it more comfortable doing it with friends. Doing these scenes brought us closer together.
Can you tell us more about your show and how it is an extension of your work? I really enjoy doing the Vivid stuff. I am a great talker when it comes to camming and I bring the same vibe when it comes to my radio show?
