After her split from Lucious (Terrence Howard), Anika (Grace Gealey) began receiving poor treatment from the whole Lyon family. From the beginning, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) had it in for her and Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) only wanted friendship. Anika was left alone.
A changing Andre (Trai Byers) felt guilty and decided that he and Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) would befriend Anika. Bringing her into the fold may have been costly. When “Empire” had its winter finale, Anika was losing it, stalking Laura (Jamila Velazquez).
It was set up to look as if Anika pushed a pregnant Rhonda down the stairs, but Lee Daniels warned of a twist. Currently, Rhonda is remembering and putting things together, realizing Anika pushed her. Now, with Anika breaking down again and Rhonda choking her, some fans are questioning if she really shoved Rhonda down the stairs.
