Long before hip hop made its imprint on the urban world, R&B and soul reigned supreme. Many of hip hop’s legends find themselves inspired by the likes of Al Green. His music is often referred to as “baby makin’ music” for the obvious reasons.
Al Green has enjoyed a very long and successful career, where he has seen success in six different decades. What he has accomplished is what most artists, in any genre, hope to accomplish. He has some real fans out there, and it shows this morning.
Those waking up to Al Green trending on Twitter got a little worried, at first. Here recently, it seems as if a person cannot trend on Twitter for anything outside of death and controversy. But, the fans of Al Green gave him a pleasant surprise, as they thanked him for his service and wished him a very special happy birthday.
