Since 2014, VH1 has been more daring with their “Love & Hip Hop” programs. First, the flagship show had a lesbian relationship featured with Erica Mena and Cyn Santana. Following this, the “Hollywood” edition had Miles and Milan, the first gay couple.
Now, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” has Mimi and Chris, in addition to the franchise’s first transgender, D. Smith. Most hip hop fans should remember D. Smith for the hook on Lil Wayne’s “Shoot Me Down.” A few months ago, D. Smith took part in VH1’s “Out In Hip Hop.”
D. Smith came into tonight’s episode ready to confront Tammy Rivera over Waka Flocka Flame being homophobic. While it looked like it would be a Tammy/D. Smith confrontation, it ended up being Betty Idol with the beef. Out of nowhere, a fight broke out and Twitter was very vocal about it.
