Every time Kanye West talks, he speaks on being great. Almost everything he says ends with some form of “greatest of all-time.” In music, Michael Jackson remains the vanguard, as Thriller has sold 25 million copies.
Kanye West, when he first made a name for himself as an artist, often cited Michael Jackson as a major influence. This is something almost every artist looks at, given the history of music. Ironically, Kanye West may have actually broken this record.
Last month, Kanye West released The Life of Pablo exclusively on TIDAL, the struggling Jay Z streaming service. Initially, Kanye West promised the album would only ever be on TIDAL, but it drops tomorrow on all services. Now, the streaming numbers are up from 250 million to 400 million.
