On “Empire,” there are very few things the Lyon family agree on, aside from music. But, everyone in the family is upset with Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) for betraying the family. This is despite Hakeem saying he only did this to get back at Lucious (Terrence Howard).
Hakeem voted against retaining Lucious as CEO of Empire. In response to this, the Lyon family turned their back on him. Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) even went as far as beating Hakeem with a broom, a nod to their relationship coming full circle since episode one.
Last night, Hakeem was definitely all of the talk, as he reunited with his ex, Camilla (Naomi Campbell), meanwhile Anika (Grace Gealey) is carrying his baby, meanwhile, he took Veronica’s (Jamila Velazquez) virginity. Still, most were hung up on Cookie beating him and the ridiculous suit he wore once he took Empire. Twitter is still going off about this, hours later.
