Cancer is a vicious disease that has ruined families by taking too many good people too soon. For decades, many have hoped and prayed for a cure for cancer. It looks like many of these prayers will soon be answered.
Outside of the election, the biggest news story is President Obama visiting Cuba. He is the first president in decades to visit Cuba, ending the cold war between our two nations. While down there, light was shed on Cuba’s ongoing cancer research.
Last May, it was revealed that Cuba had developed a cure for lung cancer. The cure for lung cancer could also possibly be used for other cancers. Time will tell if this science is used here in America to save lives, but there will likely be many Americans to risk going to Cuba to find their cure.
