One of the first successful hip hop duos were Kid ‘N Play and they had to have inspired Kris Kross of the 1990s. This, more than likely, means they also helped inspire Rae Sremmurd to make their impact. Before all of this, they were two kids from New York doing their thing.
Kid ‘N Play were innovative and among the artists that helped make hip hop mainstream. Their House Party film series is a classic and it helped introduce Martin Lawrence to the mainstream world. When he took over the TV world with “Martin,” Kid made an appearance.
Christopher Squared made an appearance on “Sway In The Morning” as Kid ‘N Play this morning. During their interview, the duo talked about being the first rappers to jump into the fashion industry. They also discussed creating the “Martin” theme song, which was a 1990s classic.
