In the early 2000s, Ashanti was a part of hip hop’s biggest machine. At the time, it looked like Murder Inc. would never leave the top of the game. Consecutively, Ja Rule and Ashanti topped Billboard with several hits.
Ashanti has found herself playing several positions since that period of time ended. Likely, the most high-profile out of all of them is her current work with Michelle Obama. Both have gotten on top of making the diets of America much healthier.
Recently, Ashanti stopped by “The Ed Lover Show” on Sirius XM to speak on this work. Not many R&B stars get the chance to work alongside the First Lady of the United States. Ashanti spoke on this and her music and Heavy Dedication TV filmed the interview.
