No matter how big J. Cole gets, he never forgets to shout out the place that molded him. Often times, many people get big and they somewhat shun North Carolina. But, J. Cole embraces Fayetteville and even did a full documentary on coming back.
J. Cole found his big break in 2008, when he finally got on good terms with Jay Z. Prior to this, J. Cole found himself ignored by Jay Z on several occasion. Safe to say, J. Cole is the biggest artist on Roc Nation’s roster.
When he dropped his late 2014 album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, J. Cole showed just how big he was. Ultimately, it was the only platinum rap album of 2014-2015. Now, J. Cole’s documentary about the show was a bigger winner on Twitter, beating out many big programs for the number one spot.
