The show that swept the nation in 2015 is “Empire,” the FOX soap produced by Lee Daniels and starring Terrence Howard. As of yet, the show has not debuted in 2016. But, their midseason cliffhanger still has people talking.
Towards the end of last season, Anika (Grace Gealey) decided to join forces with Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray), Andre (Trai Byers), and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson). Hurt by Lucious (Howard) cheating, Anika tried to take his company. In doing that, Anika gave up a lot of herself.
In season two, Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) joined “Empire” and she had a thing for Cookie. However, when she saw Anika, she fell for her and Cookie pushed the two together. While seducing Mimi on behalf of Empire for Cookie, Anika twerked, making one of the biggest moments of the season.
