Many veterans in the entertainment industry are still relatively young and Brandy makes Fabolous not the only young OG. In 1994, Brandy began her music career and acting role on “Thea,” a short-lived family sitcom. The next year, her big acting break would finally come.
The producers from “Thea” cast most of the same actors and retooled with some others to create “Moesha.” This made Brandy an icon in the hip hop world. Oh, yeah, her music also played a big part and it all started for her in 1994.
Before the likes of Tinashe, Ellie Goulding, and Rita Ora, Brandy owned the teenage market. Every teenage girl could relate to “I Wanna Be Down” and some guys could, too. The self-titled album was a big success and “I Wanna Be Down” topped Billboard’s R&B charts, and with her new BET show and new single, we made her first single, Wednesday Throwback.
