Several names have come and gone in R&B, but a few have managed to stick around. In Atlanta, many stars have emerged, many of which were groomed by Jermaine Dupri. Among those who came from Atlanta is the legendary Monica.
Early in her career, Monica scored a big hit alongside Brandy. The two came together for “The Boy Is Mine,” but would not work together for years to come. Rumors of friction came to an end, when Monica reunited with Brandy for her 2012 effort.
Monica is following this album up and she stopped by “The Breakfast Club” to discuss it. Sitting down with Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy, Monica spoke on the new album, her family, and much more. During the interview, her relationship with Brandy was also brought up.
