A couple of years ago, Young Scooter saw his mixtape buzz swell and make him one of the top rising rappers out. Just as he saw his momentum go mainstream, Young Scooter was sentenced to prison. He returned last year and has continued to make waves.
Early last year, Young Scooter began an affiliation with Birdman and his label, Cash Money Records. At one point, Young Scooter looked like he would sign with them and bring his label along. However, like his fellow brethren, Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug, he did not sign.
Young Scooter has kept quiet throughout 2015, but he has returned to make noise during BET Hip Hop Awards weekend. After a wild night, hanging out at Magic City, Young Scooter robbed a fellow rapper at the club. This led to a shootout with the cops and it also led to Young Scooter getting shot in the foot.
