Jay Z urges judge to not disclose terms of his Live Nation deal in “Big Pimpin'” trial

Jay-Z 32Business deals are what put Jay Z over the top, when many of his peers were just thinking about music. In the end, Jay Z managed to separate himself from the pack, this way. However, not even Jay Z is fully invincible.

Seven years ago, Timbaland was accused of stealing the “Big Pimpin'” beat and sued. Initially, Jay Z tried to stay out of it by saying he had nothing to do with the beat. Soon, Jay Z was also brought into the situation and he is also standing trial.

With so many other business ventures, Jay Z has a lot to be worried about when he is in court as the defendant. The terms of these deals, such as his 2008 Live Nation deal, is something he doesn’t want brought up in court. As a result, Jay Z went to the judge and asked him to not bring up this $150 million deal.
