As far as his position, Hakeem has done a complete 360 since “Empire” premiered. However, Hakeem remains very much the same person he was since the first episode. Ever since the beginning, Hakeem has been focused on being his own man.
In tonight’s episode, Hakeem decided to boss up and create a girl group with a black, white, and Latina female. The pursuit of this almost led to his ex, Tiana, leaving his new label with Andre and Cookie. But, he did have success with Becky G’s character, who wanted to be on Empire.
Hakeem did a lot in tonight’s episode, from forming the girl group, sleeping with one of the girls, angering Tiana, meeting with Jamal, almost making amends, and then leaking his album. His situation was the catalyst Andre needed to go back to his sense and beg Lucious, meanwhile Twitter reacted to his baby brother’s actions.
