Early this year, FOX premiered “Empire,” created by Lee Daniels and his partner, Danny Strong. Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, “Empire” immediately took over television. A self-proclaimed soap opera, “Empire” was television’s highest rated show.
Entering as a midseason replacement, “Empire” had eleven airings and twelve episodes. The season finale in March was a two-part thriller, ending with Lucious (Terrence Howard) going to prison. With season two, there was a struggle with Lee Daniels and the fans.
While the fans wanted more “Empire,” Lee Daniels wanted a short season two. FOX compromised with a two part season, including a winter break. Season two starts in a little over a week and the “Empire” premiere party started at 8 pm tonight and there are photos and video clips of the cast, as they arrive on set.
